The Salt Lake City Public Library has teamed with Blalock and Partners to design a new library branch for the Marmalade community, which is slated to open at the end of 2014. It will be located on Redevelopment Agency property between 500 and 600 North and 300 and 250 West.

We are in the early stages of planning this exciting new project in conjunction with the Redevelopment Agency. Check this page for updates as they develop!

  1. Is this going to happen? What can I do to ensure that it happens?

    • Mike – yes, the library is definitely going to happen! The construction money has already been approved and set aside, so there are no hurdles in that regard. Both the City and the City Library are fully committed to the project. The schedule, as of now, is to break ground in late September, with the building opening in the fall of 2014.
      thanks for your interest.

Any updates on the ground breaking date?

  3. It is now the end of November 2013 and ground has not been broken on the library. When might it be started?
